Transitional pieces for Fall: Texas edition

Fall is approaching but real talk we won’t see true Fall temps in Texas until November. Maybe. Today I’m starting a series on transitional items that will work with our Fall weather.

Don’t get me wrong like most Fall weather is my favorite season to dress! I love the layers, leather and suede pieces and all the bootie options. But y’all be mindful of the weather and dress accordingly. You not only run the risk of looking crazy rocking these true Fall pieces in 80+ temps here you also run the risk of ruining your garments. Yes, excessive sweat on heavy garments can ruin or stain that garment. And it’s hard to find a good cleaners that will treat the stain without ruining the fabric.

So how you achieve a Fall look in Texas heat? You select items in Fall hues that have a lighter fabric. Meaning the fabric is lighter to the touch and on the body. Also, try adding a blazer over one of your Summer crop tops like I did here.

Would you rock a look like this for your Texas Fall look?
